The world is changing much too fast to be able to make longer term forecasts. In my younger days, I spent weeks or months writing business plans and seeking investment funding for businesses that I never did anything with. Great execution with a mediocre idea is far better than mediocre execution with a great idea.
It is easier and cheaper than ever to start new business initiatives so why waste your time planning? Just do it and see what happens.
